Gunshots on Yorkshire Moors – Gang Violence Blamed
By Benedict Walker

Gang violence has been blamed for the gunshots heard up on the moors during the power failure last night.
Police confirmed that they were called out just after 10pm due to reports of gun wielding gang members descending on the Moorlands Road Industrial Estate, causing damage to local properties.
Local residents confirmed that during the half an hour of darkness sounds could be heard of breaking glass and gunfire in the direction of the industrial estate.
Moorlands Road became infamous to local residents after a graffiti outbreak where symbols were painted on doors, carved into walls and even melted into tarmac. Police have confirmed that they will be reviewing the graffiti situation and cross referencing the gang tags with the police forces of other areas.
A local police spokesman said officers were looking at CCTV footage but forensic teams have yet to discover any solid evidence of the type of guns used. Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
